That’s me in the picture - My name is Tobias Scherer and my path to design began with craftsmanship. After completing my apprenticeship as a furniture and construction carpenter and earning my vocational diploma, I was drawn to Aachen University of Applied Sciences to study product design.
Why product design? This passion wasn’t a sudden flash of inspiration, but grew organically. Through my work with materials and the daily observation of form and function, I developed an eye for details that go beyond mere aesthetics. For me, design means taking responsibility: for the environment, society, and a sustainable future.
During my studies, I specialized in industrial design and the maritime sector. Here, I can combine my creative vision with my technical expertise and organizational skills.
